About This Project

The business week Tilburg is an annual recruitment event that is organized by a student organization affiliated with the University of Tilburg. During this week, managers, professionals and consultants from 75 large organizations in the Netherlands – including ABN AMRO, Aegon, Randstad and ING – organize various events aimed at recruiting students.

The website looks fresh but businesslike and underlines the contemporary character through the integration of various social media. For example, feeds that are placed on the official Twitter account of the EBT are displayed directly on the homepage. The Facebook page of the EBT is also linked to this, so that Facebook members can press the “I like this” button directly from the site. Furthermore, all pages and events can be shared with one click on Hyves, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and the official promotional video of the EBT is uploaded from Youtube.

Administrators have the option of creating company profiles for the participating companies. This profile includes login data and access to a protected part of the custom application, but also display of standard data and a company logo.

It is also possible for the managers to create events and link them to a specific location, a time and the relevant companies. Registered students can then register for this. However, the most important step is to indicate whether or not they speak Dutch, on the basis of which the correct events are shown. In this way it is prevented that they end up at a Dutch-language event without speaking the language. For some events, it is mandatory for the student to add a motivation to the registration. Companies can go through this before the start of the event and make selections. After this process, rosters can be made by the administrators and there is a possibility to keep students informed through A newsletter and / or text messages.

Because the natural work remains of a machine, the administrators have the option to make changes manually after the scheduling, by dragging students from one event to the other every day. The changes that they make are immediately shown in the personal timetable of the logged-in students, which they can also print in PDF format. In this way, a real-time overview can always be seen for all involved, which considerably streamlines communication.

Just like in most other applications delivered by Mennes Creative, the administrators have complete freedom in creating pages, menu items and files. They can also create lists of options manually, which are displayed in drop-downs, for example.

With this web application, Mennes Creative has demonstrated its ability to develop scalable custom platforms that thousands of users can use simultaneously. In addition, the link with the student database of Tilburg University is a prime example of the possibilities for integrating our software with existing systems.

Fully automating scheduling based on in-depth algorithms underlines the fact that we do not avoid a challenge and can implement process improvements for any type of organization or activity – regardless of the complexity of the issue.

Are you also curious about how the online customized applications from Mennes Creative can lead to process improvements and increased efficiency within your organization, because we make innovative use of the possibilities that the internet has to offer?
